USB Charger V3 released

Harkwood Services is pleased to announce the release of our V3 USB charger, designed specifically for installation in light aircraft.

The goal was a high-power, compact, USB-PD compliant charger built for the cockpit. Each unit provides dual independent USB-C ports at up to 45W each, a low RF signature to avoid interference with radio and navigation equipment, and compliance with EASA CS-STAN for straightforward installation on CofA and Permit to Fly aircraft.

A key feature is the adjustable maximum power output, settable independently for each port. This allows the charger to be configured to meet current regulatory or aircraft power limits at installation, and reconfigured later if those limits change — without needing to replace the unit.

This latest generation builds on the design principles proven in our Charge2 and Charge4 units, which have been in service since 2014, while adding USB-PD R3.2 support for modern high-draw devices like iPads, tablets, and EFBs.

Full specifications and installation details are available on the product page.
